Made for Individuals
Throughout time, hand drums have been used by people around the globe to create a private, personal space to meditate, create new stories and songs or just relax.
In a group drums can be used as a tool for story-telling, setting a rhythm for songs whether around a campfire, public gathering or in ceremony. Hand Drums are portable, easy to maintain and easy to play, even by a toddler. Quite often drums will display a painting of a family crest, legend, spirit animal, vision, accomplishments or a group that a person belongs to.

Pow Wow Drums,
The Heartbeat of a Nation
Made to play by a group
Across North America, the Pow Wow has become a symbol for Cultural resilience and rebirth. The Pow Wow dancers are not dancing for themselves but for all relations. They dance for the elders, animals, earth, for the sick and for the people. Feeding the energy of these powerful ancient ceremonies are the Pow Wow drums.
Making Pow Wow drums is a gift and responsibility- as is ownership of such a sacred item. Drum maker David Fierro hand crafts all his drums and works with clients to ensure they understand the significance of owning these special items. All owners of Pow Wow drums are asked to be in attendance to an awakening ceremony in which the voice or heartbeat of the drum is awakened. The owner is imbued with responsibilities for drum ownership so that this heartbeat can be shared with the world bringing healing, celebration and hope to all that play, dance and hear it’s song.
Drum sizes range from 24” Diameter by 16” High to 36” Diameter by 20” High
All Pow Wow Drums come with at least 4 Tom Toms and a stand
Glass Rounds can be cut for drums enabling the piece to double as a coffee table when not in use for celebration, playing or ceremony

Hand-painted art applications
Hand painted art can increase the connection between you and your drum. David will compose a piece by asking for preferences in animals, symbols, myths, colour combinations, meanings of names, ceremonial use or corporate logo designs. Every piece is laid down in multiple layers of ink to give the piece depth and then given multiple coats of sealer to protect your artwork for the life of the drum. Each piece is unique
