About your Instructor

 

David (Xa Xa Smanxwt) of the Sylix/Okanagan Nation. A sweat lodge-keeper, David knows that all things are connected by the vibrations of light and sound. This knowledge is shared with the community and students in his workshops.

 

Online Workshops Delivery

 

Once registered, you will receive a drum kit in the mail 2 days before the first workshop session.

The drum kit will include:

• Double waxed cedar hoop

• Rawhide* drumhead pre-punched

• Rawhide* stringing

• TomTom stick

• Buck skin strips

• Vial of bear or goose grease

 

You will receive access to the digital lessons page where you will be able to access important drum-making steps by video.

 

The workshop will be delivered by zoom video conferencing and will follow the same format as the in-person workshop below.
